Privacy Policy

EasyCast Recorder is developed by Blasmani Titi ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the EasyCast Recorder app for Android and the EasyCast Recorder app for Windows PC (together, "the apps").

The short version

• We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, your email or your phone number.
• Your screen, your audio and your recordings never reach us. We do not run a server that receives them, and there is nothing for us to look at.
• What the two apps send to each other travels inside your own network, from your phone to your PC. Your recordings are saved on your PC, and only you decide what to do with them.
• The Android app shows ads, which are supplied by Google. That part is described below.

What the apps do with your content

Your screen and your sound. When you start mirroring, your phone sends the picture of its screen — and the sound it is playing — to the EasyCast Recorder app on your PC, over the network the two devices share. We have no access to that content at any point. If you record, the video files are written to a folder on your PC and stay there until you move or delete them.

Pairing. To pair the two apps, your phone reads a code shown by the PC app. That code contains the network addresses of your PC and a one-time token, so the phone knows where to connect. When they connect, the phone tells the PC its model, manufacturer and Android version, and the PC tells the phone its computer name. This is only so each app can show you which device it is talking to. That exchange happens between your own two devices and does not leave your network.

Camera. The Android app asks for camera permission for one purpose: reading the pairing code shown on your PC screen. The camera image is analysed on your phone as you point it at the code, it is not stored, and it is never sent anywhere. The permission is requested the first time you open the scanner, and you can refuse it and pair by other means.

Microphone. The PC app can record a microphone if you choose it as the audio source for a PC recording. That audio goes into your recording file on your PC and nowhere else. If you do not choose a microphone, none is used.

Information we do not collect

We want to be explicit, because these are the questions the app stores ask:

• No user accounts, no sign-in, no profiles.
• No analytics and no crash-reporting service in the apps.
• No contacts, no calendar, no location, no files or photos from your device.
• No copies of your recordings, and no cloud storage of any kind.
• The PC app does not send anything to us over the internet.

Advertising (Android app only)

The Android app shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may process your device's advertising identifier and technical information about your device and the ad shown. That processing is governed by Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

You can limit this at any time from your phone: Settings → Privacy → Ads, where Android lets you delete or turn off the advertising ID.

The PC app has no ads.

Permissions the Android app asks for, and why

• Internet and network access — to connect to the EasyCast Recorder app on your PC over your own network, and for ads.
• Camera — only to read the pairing code, as described above.
• Notifications — to show the notification that Android requires while your screen is being sent to your PC.
• Screen capture — Android asks for your explicit consent every single time mirroring starts, with its own system dialog. It is never automatic and it never starts from the PC.
• Foreground service (screen capture) — so that the mirroring keeps working while the app is not in front.

Children

The apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly process information from them.

Security

There are no accounts to break into and no servers of ours holding your content. The connection between your phone and your PC is made only after you scan the pairing code, which carries a token generated for that session.

Keeping and deleting your information

Your settings (such as the interface language and the quality you chose) are stored on your own device and are removed when you uninstall the app. Your recordings live on your PC, in the folder the app shows you, and you can delete them like any other file. Because we hold nothing about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information a company holds about you. As described above, we do not hold personal information about you. If you have any question about this, write to us at webbusinesstoolspro@gmail.com and we will answer.

Changes to this policy

If the apps ever start doing something different with your information, we will update this page before that version is published, and we will change the effective date at the top.
